ABOUT

Breaking down walls with extravagant love

How It Began

The HUB Resource Center (HRC) originated in 2022 in response to a call from the city of Orange seeking assistance for the unhoused population. The HUB OC, already known for its community support through programs like Full Circle Market Place and the Youth Center of Orange, readily agreed to help. The HRC initially operated from the roadside using mobile units and EZ-ups, providing hot meals, showers, and laundry appointments. Within two years, the HRC expanded significantly, now serving over 200 individuals and families daily. In addition to its original services, the HRC has broadened its offerings to include housing navigation, medical, dental, and vision services, social groups, art therapy, mail services, device charging, and clothing services. The HRC operates under the motto "compelled to create change," striving to eliminate barriers and help individuals thrive by providing services with dignity and love.

On-Site Daily Resource Impact

Early on it became clear what the HRC would mean to the community. The unhoused in the City of Orange are able to access showers, laundry and hot meals as they work toward their own personal goals.
